We're more than just a roofing contractor in Smyrna, we're your trusted local team. Fully licensed and insured, we bring top-grade materials, strong workmanship, and customer care that puts your needs first, in a town that grew up around the Nissan plant. When the March 2021 tornado clipped the Clarkston Square area near Rock Springs and Blair roads and left two dozen homes with roof and siding damage, it showed why local roofing experience matters here.
Routine inspections catch problems early and prevent costly repairs later. Our certified team assesses your roof’s condition and hands you a clear, practical report.
From minor leaks to full storm damage, our Smyrna roofers move quickly to restore your roof and protect what is under it, whether you are near the Sam Davis Home or out by Lee Victory Recreation Park. We also coordinate insurance claims when the damage calls for it.
When a new roof is the right call, we walk you through the best material options, complete the work efficiently, and make sure your Smyrna home or business is well protected and looks sharp. Most asphalt replacements on an average home wrap up in a single day.

Meet Your Smyrna Roofer
Before roofing, Andy Scoggins spent 25 years in corporate America. Then a contractor he hired let him down, and that experience pushed him to open his own Storm Guard franchise. Today he owns and operates the licensed and insured roofing contractor that serves Smyrna from its Franklin office.
Andy runs his business on integrity, clear communication, and follow-through. Smyrna homeowners can call Storm Guard for roof repair, roof replacement, and storm damage, plus gutters, siding, windows, and paint. If something goes wrong on a job, his rule is to fix it first, no excuses.
Smyrna has had damaging wind and half-dollar hail in recent years, and in April 2026 the weather service noted roof and siding damage in the city. A yearly exterior check-up catches that kind of damage early. His goal is the same on every job: real peace of mind after the storm.

Each Storm Guard location is independently owned and operated.
In Smyrna, Storm Guard Roofing of Nashville handles the full exterior: roof inspections, repairs, maintenance, full replacements, and new installations for homes and commercial buildings, plus gutters, siding, windows, and painting. We work from established neighborhoods near the Depot District to the newer subdivisions and the commercial corridor around the Nissan plant.
A roof under about 10 years old with one damaged area is usually a repair, while a roof past 15 to 20 years with widespread wear, several leaks, or storm damage often makes more sense to replace. A free Smyrna inspection gives you a straight answer, backed by photos of what we find.
Yes. Storm and hail damage is a core part of our Smyrna work. The town sits in Middle Tennessee's active storm belt, and the March 2021 tornado that struck the Clarkston Square area near Rock Springs Road is a recent local example. We document the damage in detail and coordinate directly with your insurance company on the claim.
We work with the full range: asphalt and architectural shingles, standing seam metal, impact-resistant synthetic slate, and flat or low-slope commercial roofing. For Smyrna's storm exposure we often talk through impact and wind ratings during the estimate.
Yes. Every roofing estimate in Smyrna is free and carries no obligation. Each one includes a full inspection and an itemized quote, so you know the scope and the cost before committing.
Yes. We offer flexible financing and payment plans to fit a new roof into your budget, and we review the options during your free Smyrna consultation.
Most average Smyrna homes with asphalt shingles are done in a single day. Larger homes or metal and specialty materials usually take two to five days depending on the roof, and we set the timeline with you before starting.
Quickly. Storm season here does not wait, so when a leak or wind damage exposes your Smyrna roof, we get out to secure it with tarping and stop water from reaching your ceilings and insulation before permanent repairs.
Roof replacements are backed by a nationally supported five-year workmanship warranty on labor, on top of the manufacturer warranty on your materials. We lay out the coverage clearly before any work begins.
Yes. During Smyrna's hot, humid summers, dark shingles absorb more heat and can warm the upper floors, while lighter shades reflect sunlight and may cut cooling costs. We help you weigh energy use against the look you are after.
Good attic ventilation releases trapped heat and moisture, extending shingle life and steadying energy bills. Hot upstairs rooms, a musty attic, or rising cooling costs usually mean the ventilation needs a look.
In Middle Tennessee, architectural asphalt shingles generally last 20 to 25 years and 3-tab shingles 12 to 15. Humid summers, freeze-and-thaw cycles, and hail wear them down faster, so regular checks help a Smyrna roof last as long as it should.
Roofs tend to give out first at flashing, valleys, and the areas around chimneys, vents, and skylights. Keeping an eye on those spots catches small issues on a Smyrna roof before they turn into major leaks.
A quality metal roof can last 40 to 70 years, with standing seam at the upper end of that range. For Smyrna homeowners planning to stay put, that long service life makes metal a strong install-once option.
Reusing old flashing on a new roof leaves weak points right where leaks like to start. Replacing it during a re-roof keeps the system fully sealed and protects the investment you just made.
A new roof in Smyrna has no single price, since size, materials, and complexity all matter. We give you a free, itemized estimate up front and offer financing to help the job fit your budget.
Unless otherwise noted, each use of "Storm Guard," “us,” “we,” or “our” throughout Stormguardrc.com collectively refers to both the Storm Guard brand and the Storm Guard Franchise System, which is made up almost exclusively of independently owned and operated franchise locations.
