How to Tell Your Antioch Roof Needs Repair

  • Shingles in the Yard: After high wind, missing shingles are the obvious sign. Shingles that lifted and lay back down are harder to spot from the ground.
  • A Stain on the Ceiling: Water is getting in somewhere above it, though not always directly above.
  • Creased or Curled Shingles: A crease across a shingle means wind bent it back and broke the seal underneath.
  • Dents on Gutters and Vents: Hail that dents metal has hit the shingles too.
  • Grit in the Downspouts: Shingles lose their protective granules after hail and as they age.
  • A Damp Attic: Wet insulation or dark stains on the decking mean water is already inside.

What Happens When You Call for a Roof Repair in Antioch

Five steps, from your call to the finished repair.

01

Call or Send the Form

Tell us what you're seeing: a drip, a stain, missing shingles, or a limb on the roof. If you know the storm date, tell us that too.

02

We Trace the Problem

We check the roof and, if there's access, the attic. Water can travel before it shows on a ceiling, so we follow it back to where it gets in.

03

You See the Photos

We show you photos of what we found and tell you what needs fixing, and whether a repair will solve it or the roof needs more.

04

A Tarp if It Can't Wait

If water is coming in and the repair can't happen right away, we can tarp the roof to protect the house in the meantime.

05

The Repair

We replace the damaged shingles, flashing, pipe boots, vents, or decking at the source of the problem.

What Antioch's Recent Storms Do to a Roof

Antioch and southeast Nashville have seen wind, hail, ice, and falling trees. Each one damages a roof in its own way:

  • Wind: On April 27–28, 2026, severe overnight storms brought intense wind and knocked out power to more than 16,000 Nashville Electric Service customers, many of them in Antioch (WSMV). High wind lifts and creases shingles and can tear them off.
  • Hail: On May 2, 2025, a storm spotter photographed 1.25-inch hail in Nashboro Village, and quarter-size hail fell along I-24 near Antioch (NWS storm report). Hail cracks and bruises shingles in ways you can't see from the ground.
  • Ice and Falling Trees: After the January 2026 ice storm, Antioch and Cane Ridge had some of the largest NES outages (WSMV), and on April 3, 2025, overnight storms dropped a tree onto a house on Old Tusculum Road (NWS storm report). Ice and falling limbs crack shingles and the decking underneath.

If one of these storms crossed your neighborhood and nobody has looked at the roof since, have it checked.

Repair, Replace, or File a Claim?

Mill Creek, Percy Priest, and mature trees. Antioch's older neighborhoods have big trees, and the creeks and lake mean storms track through hard. A limb on the roof or wind-lifted shingles are the repairs we see most here, and both are worth documenting for a claim.

Repair or replace? When the damage sits in one area, a repair is usually the right call. When it covers most of the roof, or the shingles are worn out on every slope, we'll tell you a replacement is worth considering and show you the photos that explain why. Storm damage and insurance. If a storm caused the damage, we photograph and document it so your claim has clear evidence, and we work directly with your insurance carrier through the claim. Not sure what's wrong yet? Book a roof inspection in Antioch.
