Owners
Chris and Stacey Cohen are the husband-and-wife team leading Storm Guard Roofing and Construction of Apex-Cary with passion, purpose, and a deep commitment to their community.
Chris, a true Cary native, graduated from Apex High School and East Carolina University and has spent his entire life in North Carolina. With a lifelong love of the outdoors and a special place in his heart for the NC coast, he spends as much time as he can fishing in Atlantic Beach and Morehead City. As owner of Storm Guard, Chris brings years of hands-on experience in roofing and restoration, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality and care.
Stacey, originally from New York, has proudly called North Carolina home for over 20 years. With more than 15 years of experience in construction, talent acquisition, business development, marketing, and operations, Stacey focuses on driving growth through people, partnerships, and community presence. She’s passionate about building meaningful connections, strengthening the Storm Guard brand, and making sure the company stays visible and trusted across the Triangle.
Together, Chris and Stacey are a dynamic duo—combining boots-on-the-roof know-how with business insight and a shared love for their community, their team, and their time at the beach with their son and Frenchie.
Justin Leicht is an experienced roof inspector who has been providing free inspections to homeowners for many years. He has a proven track record of success and has earned a million in his professional accomplishments. His personal values are honest, trustworthy, reliable and persistent, ensuring the quality of his workmanship.
Justin has a passion for family, photography and outdoor activities. When he's not working, Justin loves to explore and capture the beauty of nature through his camera lens.
Justin Leicht is an individual who can be trusted and it's no wonder, since he's had the unique experience of drinking champagne out of the Stanley Cup! With his professional expertise and remarkable experiences, he is a great asset to any team.
Office Admin
Maria Castro Esteban is an experienced Office Admin with a strong work ethic and a dedication to providing exceptional support to her colleagues and clients. With a career that began immediately after college, Maria has had the opportunity to work for companies that prioritize employee satisfaction, and she has found a home at Storm Guard of Apex/Cary since 2013.
In her role as an Office Admin, Maria is responsible for managing a variety of essential tasks, including billing, payables, receivables, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and generating reports. Her attention to detail and organizational skills ensure that these daily office duties are handled efficiently and accurately.
Outside of her work, Maria enjoys a range of non-work-related interests. She is an avid reader and finds joy in staying active through regular exercise. Additionally, she has a passion for sports and especially enjoys cheering on her beloved New York Yankees. However, she also supports the Boston Celtics and Patriots, showcasing her appreciation for the game beyond her hometown teams.
Todd Carkner is an experienced professional with over 20 years of experience in the construction and residential remodeling industry. He has an extensive background in sales and oversight of all siding, gutter, and window jobs. He is known for his valued traits of honesty and integrity, always striving to do what he says he will and make sure that the job is done up to the highest standard at the agreed upon price.
Outside of work, Todd enjoys coaching kids sports, traveling, football, card collecting, and even Legos. His most interesting hobby is running live online auctions for different collectibles. Todd is an experienced professional who puts his values of honesty and integrity into practice in every job he takes on.
Production Manager
Warren Liles is a dedicated and efficient Production Manager with a strong work ethic. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing the ordering, scheduling, and execution of various jobs. With his exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, Warren ensures that all tasks are completed in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Throughout his professional career, Warren has achieved notable accomplishments, although specific details are not provided. However, his commitment to excellence and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously speaks volumes about his capabilities as a Production Manager.
