Nashville, TN (September 12, 2025) — Storm Guard Roofing of Nashville, a leading exterior restoration provider in Tennessee, provides U.S. Army veteran Stephen Kimball with a new roof via the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project from September 8 to 12.

Through a partnership between Storm Guard and Purple Heart Homes, Kimball was selected to receive a free roof replacement at his Spring Hill home.

This initiative is made possible by Storm Guard Cares—a program designed to underscore the brand’s commitment to giving back and supporting its franchisees’ local communities during times of need.

“We believe in giving back to those who have given everything for us,” said Tatiana Scoggins, owner of Storm Guard Roofing of Nashville. “Providing Stephen with a safe and secure roof is just one small way we can say thank you for his decades of service and sacrifice.”

Shane Lynch, president of Storm Guard, adds, “This year, we’re making it a priority to expand our charitable initiatives in a major way… Through our Storm Guard Cares program, we’re encouraging and supporting our franchisees to step up and do more, whether that’s helping a veteran like Stephen, supporting local nonprofits, or finding new ways to give back in their neighborhoods.”

About the Veteran, Stephen Kimball

Kimball has dedicated over 20 years of his life to serving his country. Enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1984, he served in Germany, South Korea, and Kuwait, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant and working as a Unit Supply Sergeant and a Battalion Property Book Technician.

His service included deployments during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom—experiences that shaped his career and life.

Kimball retired honorably in 2005 and has since settled in Spring Hill. Ultimately, his new roof is not only an upgrade but also a gesture of gratitude from Storm Guard for the years of sacrifice he dedicated to his country.
